Quantitative Researcher (Web3)

TL;DR

Quantitative Researcher (Web3/DeFi): Developing and deploying risk curation and yield optimization strategies for on-chain financial infrastructure with an accent on quantitative risk analysis and TradFi/DeFi trading strategies. Focus on designing algorithms for portfolio management, conducting backtesting, and creating frameworks for risk analysis to protect against black swan events.

Location: Hybrid (New York City preferred). Remote work is considered on a case-by-case basis.

What you will do

• Manage a portfolio of yield-generating opportunities across multiple protocols and chains in collaboration with DeFi engineers.
• Design and backtest algorithms to produce actionable insights for DeFi portfolio management.
• Create comprehensive frameworks for risk analysis and portfolio optimization.
• Monitor data and forecast risks to design triggers for opportunistic entries or exits.
• Research and deploy knowledge across TradFi and DeFi to execute state-of-the-art risk curation.

Requirements

• Deep knowledge of risk management, financial, and statistical concepts for optimal portfolio management.
• Extensive understanding of DeFi protocols including Liquid Staking (Lido, EtherFi), AMMs (Uniswap, Balancer), Lending (Aave, Morpho), and Perp DEXs.
• Experience managing a book in TradFi or DeFi across equities, tokens, or loan books.
• Proven ability to apply rigorous statistical methods to portfolio analysis.
• Familiarity with data engineering.
