Quant Developer (Web3)

TL;DR

Quant Developer (Web3/Python): Designing, building, and operating vault strategies for onchain finance with an accent on quantitative modeling and production-grade software engineering. Focus on developing automated allocation engines, risk parameters, and integrating new DeFi protocols to manage institutional capital.

Location: Remote (Must be based in the contiguous United States or Canada)

Salary: $175,000 – $200,000 base

What you will do

• Design and implement end-to-end vault strategies including RWAs, leveraged lending, and yield aggregation.
• Conduct protocol and asset due diligence to evaluate solvency, oracle design, and liquidity.
• Develop and manage risk parameters, including VaR-based exposure models and automated de-risking logic.
• Build and validate adapters for lending markets, DEX aggregators, and bridges.
• Maintain risk-monitoring systems and participate in the on-call rotation for live strategies.
• Collaborate with growth and capital markets teams to launch new vault products.

Requirements

• Proven track record of building production quantitative systems such as algorithmic trading, portfolio optimization, or risk systems.
• Strong Python skills and software engineering fundamentals including testing and code review.
• Applied quantitative skills in optimization, statistics, and simulation.
• Proficiency with SQL and experience with data pipelines.
• Must be based in the contiguous United States or Canada.

Nice to have

• Hands-on DeFi experience with ERC-4626, AMMs, or oracle systems.
• Solidity/EVM literacy or experience with non-EVM chains like Solana.
• Experience with risk modeling for volatile assets, including VaR and stress testing.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and modern data stacks (BigQuery, GCP, Kubernetes).
