Salary: $250,000–$315,000 base salary, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable Kubernetes platform solutions for secure enterprise workloads.
• Define reliability initiatives, including SLOs, capacity planning, resilience, and operational improvements.
• Identify and resolve system misconfigurations, architectural risks, and complex infrastructure issues.
• Own and improve deployments, environments, developer tooling, observability, and internal platform systems.
• Build guardrails and self-service tools that help product engineers deliver faster and more safely.
• Partner with engineering, product, and leadership to establish technical standards and accelerate delivery.

Requirements

• Extensive production-grade experience scaling Kubernetes from early-stage systems to production-critical workloads.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems tradeoffs and a strong systems mindset.
• Experience at a big technology company followed by a startup, or at a startup that successfully scaled its infrastructure.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and taking ownership of broad, high-impact technical areas.
• Ability to work on-site in New York City.
• Collaborative, organized, thoughtful, and autonomous working style.

Nice to have

• Experience with single-tenant architectures.
• Background in financial services or regulated environments.
• Familiarity with banking-level security and data governance.
• Strong interest in AI, technology, and finance.
