Staff Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

Salary: $147,200 – $276,000 (depending on geographic tier and experience)

What you will do

• Define and execute the long-term vision for infrastructure supporting rapidly growing AI workloads.
• Design resilient, distributed systems that scale core services to meet global demand.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers to foster a culture of high standards.
• Diagnose complex technical bottlenecks and decompose them into scalable architectural requirements.
• Implement foundational platform services that improve developer experience and reduce operational overhead.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, research, and security teams to ensure performant and secure infrastructure.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience in designing and scaling complex distributed systems.
• Demonstrated experience leading high-impact engineering teams and influencing technical strategy.
• Expertise in cloud-native infrastructure, specifically GCP and Kubernetes at scale.
• Expertise in GPU/ML infrastructure for large training and inference workloads, including scheduling and high-performance networking.
• Strong ability to decompose complex technical problems into simplified, incremental architectural designs.
• Must be based in the United States.

• Deep proficiency in architectural patterns for high-throughput, low-latency services.
• Experience operating in high-growth environments with rapidly pivoting infrastructure requirements.
• Experience with multi-tenant data governance, data registries, and federated access in IP-sensitive environments.
• Experience working in regulated environments with SOC2, data residency, and export control requirements.
