What you will do

• Lead technical strategy for scaling cloud footprint while improving overall performance and reliability.
• Develop systems to automate the setup of new regions and customer environments.
• Build autoscaling and right-sizing systems to reduce cloud expenditure without sacrificing headroom.
• Harden network and platform security controls to meet strict public-sector compliance requirements.
• Create "paved-road" tooling to allow product teams to deploy, observe, and debug services independently.
• Mentor engineers, review designs, and provide technical guidance to the traffic engineering team.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and operating cloud infrastructure at scale.
• Hands-on expertise with major public cloud platforms, container orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tooling.
• Working knowledge of traffic engineering (load balancing, service mesh, CDN, capacity planning).
• Proven track record of driving down cloud costs through architectural improvements.
• Experience working within compliance-driven environments and applying network security best practices.
• Must be located in San Francisco, CA.
