TL;DR
Senior Africa Partnerships Leader (Web3): Building and scaling fintech, payments, institutional, and developer partnerships across Stellar’s African ecosystem with an accent on business development, ecosystem strategy, and cross-border financial infrastructure. Focus on closing complex multi-stakeholder deals, progressing partners from pipeline to live integration, and translating market intelligence into product and regional strategy.
Location: Remote in EMEA; candidates must be based in Africa and able to travel extensively across the continent, with occasional international travel.

What you will do
- Own the Africa business development strategy across Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, and Ethiopia.
- Build and close partnerships with fintechs, payment platforms, wallets, ramps, developer teams, banks, telcos, and development finance institutions.
- Lead regional events, ecosystem meetups, builder roundtables, accelerator relationships, and institutional engagement programs.
- Move partnership opportunities from pipeline through live blockchain integration and sustained network volume.
- Represent African market needs internally and influence product priorities and organizational strategy.
- Maintain accurate partnership data in HubSpot and Airtable and coordinate regional content with marketing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
- 8+ years of business development, partnerships, or ecosystem experience, including substantial senior-level work with African markets.
- Established relationships across African fintech, payments, blockchain, institutional, banking, telecommunications, accelerator, and regulatory communities.
- Experience with blockchain, digital assets, stablecoins, tokenization, cross-border payments, Digital Public Infrastructure, and financial inclusion.
- Experience negotiating complex multi-stakeholder partnerships and navigating African regulatory environments.
- Fluent English required; candidates must be based in Africa and willing to travel extensively.
