Software Engineer (Bitcoin)

Location: Remote within the United States

hirify.global builds Bitcoin infrastructure, including layer-2 networks, software, and hardware wallets, to support a permissionless financial system.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable end-to-end systems serving APIs and SDKs.
• Build and integrate full-stack solutions across database architecture, backend services, and cloud deployment.
• Optimize performance, security, and availability for enterprise custody applications.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and hardware engineers.
• Implement CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, and software development best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, research emerging technologies, mentor junior developers, and share knowledge.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack software development experience with a backend focus.
• Proficiency in C++, Python, Rust, or Node.
• Strong experience designing and building RESTful APIs and SDKs.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, plus Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Experience with authentication, encryption, access control, CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with Bitcoin, blockchain technology, or cryptography.
• Open-source software development experience.
• Experience with system or software architecture.
• Computer Science, Engineering, or related degree, or equivalent experience.
