Senior Engineer (Python/Fullstack)

Location: Bordeaux, France; hybrid with three days per week in the office, including mandatory Mondays. Two remote days per week, one remote work week per quarter, and three flex days are available.

What you will do

• Build and operate products that create a seamless delivery experience for customers, agents, and operational partners.
• Develop efficient, loosely coupled services as the platform transitions from a monolith to a distributed, service-oriented architecture.
• Design and improve systems, APIs, data architecture, and application performance for scalable products.
• Own the full product lifecycle in a build-it-and-run-it environment, including launch, monitoring, support, and high-impact incident mitigation.
• Facilitate technical discussions, improve existing designs, explore high-impact technologies, and help prioritize delivery optimization.
• Collaborate with business, operations, and other Care squads while contributing to a learning and knowledge-sharing environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong system design skills and experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of data architecture and APIs, with experience in performance optimization and scalability.
• Solid experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and the ability to independently build frontend features.
• Understanding of state management, routing, API integration, performance, accessibility, and UX.
• Professional English proficiency is required for collaboration in an international team.
