TL;DR

Controller (Fintech): Building and scaling multi-jurisdictional financial operations with an accent on multi-entity consolidation, tax compliance, and ERP implementation. Focus on driving accuracy in financial processes, managing IFRS/GAAP standards, and utilizing SQL for financial closing processes.

Location: Hybrid (Mexico City), 3-4 days a week in-office

What you will do

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including multi-entity consolidations and SQL-driven reporting.
• Coordinate accounting processes, administrative filings, and tax reports with external accountants and auditors.
• Ensure strict adherence to local and international accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and lead external audits.
• Lead the group-wide ERP implementation, including CoA setup, data flow design, and analytics.
• Oversee the A/P and A/R invoice processing cycle in coordination with the Treasury team.
• Develop and implement automation and optimization strategies for accounting workflows.

Requirements

• Experience managing financial operations across various regulatory environments.
• Deep knowledge of multi-entity consolidation, IFRS, GAAP, and international compliance.
• Proven proficiency with SQL tools for financial closing and data analysis.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth, and high-uncertainty fintech environment.
• Location: Must be based in Mexico City for hybrid office attendance (3-4 days/week).

Nice to have

• Experience with pre-IPO or IPO processes in high-growth companies.
• Hands-on experience with ERP implementation and management.
• Familiarity with fintech-specific tax structures, audits, and transfer pricing.
