What you will do

• Design and develop distributed cloud systems to support Ring video doorbells and security cameras.
• Take full ownership of features from initial idea through production deployment and maintenance.
• Analyze production metrics to optimize system performance and customer experience.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to bring innovative consumer electronics to market.
• Drive infrastructure setup, scaling, and monitoring for always-on services.

Requirements

• Professional software development experience in a modern language such as Java, C++, or C#.
• Experience contributing to the architecture and design of distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, reliability, and scaling.
• Ability to drive tasks to completion and take full ownership of projects.
• Proactive communication skills and technical leadership capabilities.

Nice to have

• Experience with Rust.
