What you will do

• Lead PF battery engineering activities from initial concept through production implementation.
• Define battery system technical requirements and manage development and issue resolution with suppliers.
• Integrate battery systems into machine platforms, overseeing packaging, mounting, cooling, and HV routing.
• Develop battery validation plans and lead testing for functional, environmental, thermal, and abuse scenarios.
• Serve as the primary engineering focal point for battery suppliers, driving design reviews and risk mitigation.
• Evaluate and optimize battery performance, including energy capacity, charging efficiency, and aging characteristics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical, Electrochemical, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in battery engineering, specifically with lithium-ion systems.
• Strong understanding of battery pack architecture, thermal management, and high-voltage systems.
• Experience with CAN communication, BMS fundamentals, and DFMEA/PFMEA processes.
• Knowledge of industry standards: ISO 26262, IEC 62619, UL 2580, and UN38.3.
• Effective communication proficiency in both English and Chinese.

Nice to have

• Experience working with battery suppliers such as CATL, BYD/FinDreams, Sunwoda, EVE, or Ganfeng.
• Experience with off-highway electrification applications and battery sourcing/localization.
• Familiarity with machine-level electrification programs and HV architecture.
