What you will do

• Perform installation inspections, energy savings calculations, and HVAC system assessments at residential properties.
• Coordinate QA activities, including completing inspection reports and facilitating communication with utility QA/QC teams.
• Conduct QA investigations of non-conforming program contractors and coordinate necessary corrective actions.
• Interact with homeowners, contractors, builders, and other key stakeholders during field visits.
• Maintain accurate QA records using the Sightline system.
• Travel up to 80% of the time throughout New Jersey to perform essential field inspections.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Energy, Environmental, Building Sciences, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 1+ years of experience in utility, energy efficiency, HVAC, or weatherization.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for local travel.
• BPI (Building Performance Institute) BA-T and BA-P certification, or willingness to obtain them within 90 days.
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to New Jersey.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

Nice to have

• BPI Analyst or HERS Rater certification.
• Knowledge of Blower Door testing and Combustion Safety Testing.
• Experience delivering technical trainings for subcontractors.
• Prior experience performing energy audits in residential homes.
