Infrastructure Engineer (AV & IT)

Location: On-site in Orlando, Florida, United States. Regular attendance at the designated work site is required, with travel to live-event and production locations, including multi-day assignments with limited notice.

What you will do

• Maintain servers, storage, networking, telecommunications, data centers, edit environments, AV systems, conference rooms, RF distribution, displays, and related infrastructure.
• Install, configure, upgrade, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on technical equipment across corporate, production, and live-event environments.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, AV, conferencing, RF, television, and production-support issues during daily operations and live events.
• Prepare, deploy, support, recover, and track event equipment for venues, production compounds, mobile units, and temporary locations.
• Coordinate infrastructure improvements, technology refreshes, room builds, and live-event solutions with IT, production, facilities, vendors, and users.
• Create technical documentation, runbooks, infrastructure standards, line diagrams, AV and RF signal-flow diagrams, and change records.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in infrastructure engineering, systems administration, technical operations, corporate technology, AV support, production technology, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of networking protocols, server hardware, virtualization, storage, telecommunications, cabling, physical infrastructure, and operational support.
• Experience supporting conference room technology, video conferencing, displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, codecs, control systems, and related AV infrastructure.
• Understanding of AV-over-IP, RF distribution, video routing, audio and video signal flow, television distribution, and collaboration technology.
• Experience with data center operations, rack-mounted equipment, server and storage hardware, networking equipment, power management, cable management, drivers, and firmware.
• Ability to work on-site in Orlando, travel for event assignments, and work nights, weekends, holidays, extended hours, and on-call rotations.

Nice to have

• Experience in broadcast media, sports production, corporate infrastructure, or live-event technology.
• Knowledge of OTT platforms, streaming devices, digital video workflows, teleprompters, monitoring systems, or IP-based audio and video communications.
• Experience with NetApp, Dell EMC, or comparable enterprise storage platforms.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity practices in infrastructure, AV, and production-support environments.
• Relevant technical certifications or a bachelor's degree in IT, engineering, computer science, broadcast technology, or a related discipline.
