What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend systems owned by the User Systems team.
• Collaborate in a cross-functional team with frontend engineers, QA, and product managers.
• Optimize backend systems for high performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Maintain high quality standards through design and code reviews and rigorous testing.
• Document systems to ensure long-term maintainability.
• Serve in an on-call rotation as a first responder for team-owned software.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Experience with at least one major programming language (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, Rust, Java, Go, Python, C#).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Understanding of DevOps principles.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Boston, MA office.
