What you will do

• Lead a team managing payment accounting operations, funds management, and financial reporting.
• Oversee daily payment activity and reconciliations across bank accounts and payment providers.
• Establish and strengthen financial controls, documentation standards, and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with Finance, Technology, and Compliance to optimize operational processes.
• Modernize reporting using Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and Databricks.
• Manage the onboarding of new payment methods and operational workflows.

Requirements

• 7+ years in payment operations, accounting, or high-volume transaction environments.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams or process improvement initiatives.
• Deep understanding of payment flows, transaction lifecycles, and settlement timing.
• Hands-on proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or Databricks.
• Advanced Excel skills for complex financial analysis and automation.
• Must be based in or able to work in Providence, RI.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Data Analytics.
• CPA or experience in public accounting/internal audit.
• Experience with ACH, wires, and third-party payment integrations.
• Python or other analytical coding skills.
