GL Accountant

TL;DR

GL Accountant (Finance): Managing general ledger functions, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes with an accent on US GAAP compliance and foreign currency accounting. Focus on preparing financial reporting, performing flux analysis, and partnering with US-based accounting management.

Location: Hybrid remote in Manila, Philippines. Work schedule: 8am - 5pm PST

What you will do

• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries and accruals.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and monthly, quarterly, and annual flux analysis.
• Manage consolidations, intercompany transactions, and foreign currency accounting.
• Partner with the US Accounting Manager to ensure international accounting is completed.
• Support accounts payable processes by reviewing, verifying, and processing supplier invoices.
• Ensure the accuracy of financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and internal policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
• 4-6 years of GL Accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP.
• Familiarity with Netsuite or equivalent accounting software.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Must be based in Manila, Philippines; position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
