Sr. Software Engineer (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications for genetic testing and reporting workflows.
• Collaborate with geneticists, bioinformaticians, laboratory professionals, and business stakeholders to define requirements, specifications, and architecture.
• Document system architecture, processes, and workflows to support maintainability and traceability.
• Troubleshoot software defects and improve system reliability, data accuracy, and application performance.
• Contribute to technical innovation and continuous improvement while following security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent education and experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with C#, .NET, and .NET Core, plus frontend development with React and TypeScript.
• Experience with SQL Server or relational databases, including schema design and query optimization.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and using version control systems such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, independent-working, ownership, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, clinical diagnostics, genomics, or NGS environments.
• Familiarity with laboratory workflows, clinical reporting systems, or LIMS.
• Experience with regulated environments such as CLIA, CAP, or HIPAA.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps practices, cloud environments, and performance optimization for data-intensive applications.
