What you will do

• Own the short and long-term technical vision for test automation and quality architecture across cloud and mobile systems.
• Design, build, and scale resilient and reusable automation frameworks.
• Partner with the Quality Manager to define automation strategies and make major technical decisions.
• Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor a mixed group of senior and early-career engineers through code reviews and best practice implementation.
• Analyze quality metrics, including flake risk and execution performance, and report outcomes to leadership.

Requirements

• Equivalent of 7+ years in senior engineering roles with a deep focus on automation testing and framework building.
• Expert-level proficiency in Playwright (TypeScript) and Maestro (YAML).
• Deep understanding of black and white box testing, API and integration testing, and system-level validation.
• Experience implementing an AI-first approach to automation and architecture.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills for stakeholder management.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Jira, XRay, Confluence, Claude, and GitHub.
