Salary: $100,000.00–$125,000.00 annually

What you will do

• Identify, gather, document, and refine cost accounting business requirements with site-based SMEs, then consolidate them into a standardized global SAP cost accounting template.
• Translate requirements into process documentation, value stream maps, and system blueprints; support process governance and standardization.
• Design and implement cost accounting solutions in SAP S/4HANA aligned to business objectives, including end-to-end process development across Finance/Controlling and integrated systems.
• Participate in unit, functional, and system integration testing; execute UAT, training, and deployment readiness; support go-live and post-deployment stabilization.
• Support master data cleansing and preparation; create and maintain documentation (PDDs, PFLs, FSDs, test scripts, and training materials).
• Collaborate across Finance, IT, operations, supply chain, procurement, and global site teams; run Agile activities (backlog, user stories, retrospectives) and report business KPIs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Cost Accounting, Finance, or SAP Controlling environments, preferably in manufacturing, project-based, or Aerospace & Defense settings.
• Working knowledge of SAP cost accounting processes, including SAP FI/CO integration, cost center accounting, internal orders, project/WBS costing, allocations, settlements, and period-end close activities.
• Experience with cost accounting topics such as standard cost development/annual cost rolls, actual costing (labor/material/overhead/WIP/COGS impacts), and manufacturing variance analysis.
• Experience with SAP Controlling master data and troubleshooting SAP costing transactions, data issues, posting errors, and integration points across Finance, Project Systems, Materials Management, Production Planning, and Sales & Distribution.
• Ability to document current-state and future-state processes, identify control gaps, and communicate financial/system concepts clearly to business and technical stakeholders.
