What you will do

• Design protection and control drawings, including relay one-lines, three-lines, and AC/DC schematics.
• Develop panel construction specifications, layouts, and elevations.
• Evaluate interoperability and communication protocols for protective relays, RTUs, and LTC Controllers.
• Perform power system load flow, fault studies, and relay setting coordination.
• Support system startups and functional checks during commissioning.
• Collaborate with clients to define project scope and propose technical solutions.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in P&C system design for transmission and distribution substations.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site at one of the New York offices.
• Knowledge of IEEE, NERC, NEC, NESC, NEMA, and ANSI standards.
• Experience with telecommunications, protective relaying, and SCADA.
• Familiarity with Schweitzer Engineering, GE, and Basler equipment.

Nice to have

• PE license from a US State.
• Interest in low voltage coordination and arc flash studies.
