What you will do

• Lead overall transmission line design for all capital projects.
• Review and design transmission line plan and profile drawings using PLSCAD to ensure compliance with AVANGRID TM and NESC standards.
• Develop routing strategies, deciding between rebuilding existing lines or obtaining additional right-of-way based on area congestion.
• Perform conductor selection, insulation, A/C interference, and grounding studies.
• Utilize LiDAR, aerial photo data, and sensitive resource data for precise design and placement.
• Determine structure designs based on specific project constraints and optimize routing near congested stations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology.
• 2-5 years of engineering experience in transmission line design.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Binghamton, NY.
• PE license is requested.
