Salary: $181,000 - $262,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead reliability evaluations and design test campaigns for internal and external sensor systems.
• Conduct failure analysis and drive corrective actions for design or process fixes.
• Facilitate DFMEA sessions and implement proactive risk mitigation plans.
• Develop predictive reliability models for sensors across diverse climates and road conditions.
• Collaborate with hardware design, systems engineering, and contract manufacturers to integrate reliability findings.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in developing and validating optomechanical products like cameras or lidars.
• Deep understanding of the physics of failure for electronic and optoelectronic components.
• Strong ability to design and execute reliability test flows including shock, vibration, and thermal testing.
• Direct experience improving the reliability of mass-produced optomechanical assemblies.
• Proficiency in technical data analysis to generate actionable insights.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in R&D at automotive companies.
• Familiarity with AEC-Q, ISO-16750, and other automotive reliability standards.
• Experience evaluating manufacturing and assembly processes for large-scale production.
• Working knowledge of hardware-firmware interactions.
