Autonomy Engineering Specialist (Robotics)

Location: Irving, Texas, United States; onsite five days a week. Up to 10% travel is required. Relocation assistance is available.

Salary: $128,470–$208,770 per year, plus potential incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Define robotic needs for business areas and provide technical leadership on complex robotics software solutions.
• Lead the design, implementation, testing, and release of software for robotic devices.
• Participate in test reviews, analysis, witnessing, and certification of robotics software.
• Apply new technologies to improve the capabilities of robotics software products.
• Consult on integrating robotic software with existing infrastructure and products.
• Facilitate design reviews and technical decision-making across stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science program.
• Proven experience designing, developing, and architecting complex software solutions in C++.
• Experience with software product design, architecture alternatives, design reviews, and technical solution evaluation.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience developing radar or camera systems.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in the Irving, Texas office.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting robotics or autonomous vehicles.
• Experience with hirify.global products.
• Functional Safety or Safety of the Intended Functionality (SOTIF) experience.
• Prior software programming and product quality experience.
