What you will do

• Design and optimize robust algorithms for multi-sensor fusion using IMU, LiDAR, Radar, Camera, and GNSS.
• Develop mathematical models for factor graph optimization and Kalman filters.
• Write highly optimized, low-latency Rust code for real-time vehicle compute devices.
• Collaborate with Perception and Mapping teams to integrate semantic landmarks into the localization pipeline.
• Build rigorous evaluation frameworks to measure accuracy and fault tolerance in simulation and on physical tracks.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US or Canada.
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in Robotics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Deep expertise in probabilistic robotics, state estimation, and 3D geometry.
• Proven experience building and optimizing SLAM systems and point-cloud registration algorithms.
• Exceptional programming skills in modern C++ and/or Rust.
• Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, calculus, and probability theory.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with GTSAM, Ceres Solver, or g2o.
• Experience with learned localization using deep learning models.
• Experience with high-speed highway autonomous driving constraints.
