What you will do

• Lead scientific innovation and technical contributions in cutting-edge drug delivery technologies.
• Manage projects from study design and execution through troubleshooting to ensure successful completion.
• Perform tLNP generation and in vitro validation using cell-based assays.
• Draft scientific proposals to provide customized solutions for clients.
• Coordinate collaborations within the in vitro team and across cross-functional units.
• Maintain operational compliance with EHS rules and government regulations.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in chemical engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, immunology, or a related field (or Master's with 5+ years / Bachelor's with 7+ years of experience).
• Expertise in mRNA LNP design, optimization, production, and antibody conjugation.
• Hands-on experience with in vitro validation assays using human whole blood, PBMC, and isolated immune cell subsets.
• Knowledge of in vitro pharmacology assay development, validation, and compound screening for various drug modalities.
• Strong communication skills for presenting technical information to collaborators and clients.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in San Diego, CA, including ability to work in a lab setting with biohazards and chemicals.
