TL;DR
HVAC Mechanic: Maintaining and repairing large-scale HVAC systems and cooling plants with an accent on preventive maintenance, chiller diagnostics, and building management system control. Focus on ensuring facility comfort, optimizing system efficiency, and performing complex mechanical repairs in a high-paced media environment.
Location: Must be based in Miami, Florida. This is an onsite role requiring 24/7 on-call availability.

What you will do
- Perform preventive maintenance and major repairs on large-scale chillers, cooling towers, and pump systems.
- Manage and adjust Johnson Metasys building management systems to maintain optimal environmental conditions.
- Analyze water chemistry in cooling systems to ensure peak performance and longevity.
- Respond to work orders via the Archibus mobile system in a timely manner.
- Operate and maintain mechanical equipment at heights of 40+ feet using manlift equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to diagnose issues and implement long-term solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with large chillers, cooling towers, and HVAC equipment.
- Refrigeration and AC certification is required.
- Fluent in English (written and oral).
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work in various interior and exterior environments with varying weather conditions.
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and be on-call 24/7.
Nice to have
- Mechanical Journeyman certification.
- York chiller certification.
- Fluency in Spanish.
- Proven experience working in high-humidity environments.
