What you will do

• Provide field crews with stakeout calculations for civil, heavy highway, and building projects.
• Prepare as-built drawings, volume reports, and process field data.
• Build 3D data, surfaces, alignments, and linework for automated machine guidance systems (Trimble, Topcon, Leica).
• Extract and process data from terrestrial and mobile laser scans.
• Maintain data integrity and perform independent calculations to complete surveys.
• Collaborate with clients and design engineers to ensure project schedules are met.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience with CAD platforms, specifically AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Carlson, Revit, and/or InRoads.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret construction plan documents and specifications.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company-owned vehicles.
• Willingness to work overtime as required by the project schedule.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience as a Survey Crew Chief on construction projects.
• Hands-on experience with the Trimble family of surveying equipment.
• Familiarity with advanced survey technology including GPS, Robotic Total Stations, UAV, and high-definition scanners.
