Salary: $171,000 - $247,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead development and implementation of safety standards and conformance strategies for self-driving vehicle deployment.
• Serve as the subject-matter expert and external representative with regulators, industry coalitions, and standards bodies.
• Represent hirify.global's safety approach to customers and OEM partners.
• Monitor and analyze U.S. and international regulatory frameworks to provide actionable guidance for engineering and operational teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in safety, compliance, or regulatory engineering within transportation or safety-critical industries.
• Expert knowledge of automotive safety policy, regulations, and standards.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical analyses to diverse audiences, including regulators and executives.
• Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional programs and external stakeholder relationships.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with ADAS or autonomous vehicle compliance and certification.
• Familiarity with homologation and type approval processes for commercial vehicles.
• Exposure to international regulatory frameworks, such as UNECE.
• Experience working with federal agencies or public-private partnerships.
• Knowledge of safety challenges associated with ML-based systems.
