What you will do

• Define requirements for automated safety assessment workflows and evaluation infrastructure.
• Develop and monitor quantitative metrics to evaluate system performance against safety targets.
• Optimize test coverage within high-fidelity simulators for safety-critical scenarios.
• Define human performance benchmarks to support comparative safety assessments.
• Identify safety gaps and ensure traceability between requirements and validation artifacts.
• Maintain structured documentation of safety artifacts and readiness decisions.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US or Canada.
• Undergraduate degree required; Masters or PhD in an engineering discipline preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in automotive, robotics, or related industries.
• Experience contributing to the development of a safety case for autonomous vehicles.
• Knowledge of safety methods such as STPA, SOTIF (ISO 21448), ISO/SAE PAS 22736, and UL 4600.
• Strong scripting and data analysis skills using Python and SQL.
