What you will do

• Design mechanical modules and chassis for high-density networking switches.
• Implement designs using Creo 3D CAD and generate all necessary manufacturing documentation.
• Manage BOM structures and product changes within the Agile PLM system.
• Collaborate with ECAD teams on PCB placement and design integration.
• Work with contract manufacturers to address DFM concerns and troubleshoot production issues.
• Conduct lab testing and debug prototypes to ensure compliance with mechanical and thermal requirements.

Requirements

• BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience in mechanical design for computer or network equipment in data centers.
• Proficiency in sheet metal and plastic part design.
• Experience with ECO, BOM, and deviation processes.
• Ability to lift weights upwards of 50 pounds.

Nice to have

• Experience with PTC Creo and Windchill (PDMLink).
• Background in thermal simulation, air flow testing, or liquid cooling systems.
• Hands-on experience with shock, vibration, and EMC testing.
