Salary: $100,000–$140,000

What you will do

• Lead overall transmission line design for capital projects.
• Review and design plan and profile drawings using PLSCAD to ensure compliance with AVANGRID and NESC standards.
• Develop project plans for transmission line routing and strategy.
• Conduct studies on insulation, A/C interference, static wire, and grounding.
• Determine structure designs based on environmental and technical constraints.
• Optimize design and reliability for routing into congested stations.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Orange, CT.
• 2-5 years of engineering experience in the functional area.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology.
• PE (Professional Engineer) license requested.

Nice to have

• Experience with LiDAR and aerial photo data.
• Knowledge of sensitive resource and wetlands data for design placement.
