Salary: $22.50–$26.00 per hour (approx. $46,800–$54,080 annually)

What you will do

• Supervise and lead the medical records staff in daily operations.
• Prepare patient charts for upcoming appointments and retrieve records for physicians.
• Process incoming and outgoing medical record requests and releases.
• Scan and maintain medical records within the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Ensure the security and confidentiality of all patient health information.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of daily office notes.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3 years of experience working with medical records in a medical office setting.
• Understanding of medical terminology.
• Proficient computer skills with EMR database experience.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and state healthcare record regulations.
• Must be able to work onsite in South Portland, Maine.
