Global Product Development Quality Manager (Rail Electronics)

Location: Hybrid role based in Neckartenzlingen, Germany, or Olen, Belgium

What you will do

• Standardize process-based and risk-based quality practices across distributed R&D organizations.
• Align R&D quality objectives with business priorities and rail customer requirements.
• Monitor development performance and results across sites, improving transparency and comparability.
• Drive corrective actions and structured improvement plans based on KPIs, audits, and project reviews.
• Provide quality oversight for hardware, PCB design, embedded systems, and component lifecycle management.
• Plan internal audits and ensure compliance with ISO 22163, ISO 9001, and related requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in R&D and quality management within a multi-site global engineering environment.
• Experience with design transfer, industrialization, production ramp-up support, design controls, configuration management, and change management.
• Knowledge of risk management practices, including design FMEA and hazard analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder alignment, and data-driven execution skills.
• Fluent English is required.

Nice to have

• Quality certifications such as IRIS Lead Auditor or ISO 22163/9001.
• Another major European language.
