Sr. Manager Project Engineering Germany (m/f/d)

Location: Erlangen, Germany; remote work with office attendance as needed. Other listed location: Berlin, Germany. Travel throughout EMEA and internationally is required as needed.

What you will do

• Ensure project execution is delivered on time, within budget, and according to agreed engineering deliverables.
• Provide senior leadership for project engineering resources and manage capacity, skills, priorities, and accountability across the market.
• Coordinate engineering input for complex opportunities with Commercial, Project Management, and Technical Expert Leads.
• Lead customer-facing and internal escalations involving technical, contractual, and project execution issues.
• Improve engineering processes, governance, execution standards, risk mitigation, and delivery performance.
• Develop engineering talent, support succession planning, and represent Project Engineering in senior stakeholder and customer forums.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in power systems, utility-scale installations, PV plants, battery energy storage systems, or comparable infrastructure projects in EMEA.
• Strong knowledge of engineering, procurement, and construction for high-voltage systems, renewable energy, battery storage, or conventional power generation.
• Experience leading teams, managing managers or senior experts, developing technical talent, and handling complex projects in a matrix organization.
• Strong commercial and contractual awareness, customer-facing escalation management, and senior stakeholder communication skills.
• Business fluency in German and English; German at C1 level is required.
