Senior Accountant

TL;DR

Senior Accountant: Managing day-to-day accounting operations, including full-cycle AP, reconciliations, and sales tax filings with an accent on GAAP compliance and financial integrity. Focus on leading month-end and year-end close cycles and providing data-driven financial insights.

Location: Remote (Must be available to work 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM EST)

What you will do

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice processing and vendor management.
• Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and file Sales Tax returns.
• Lead and execute Month-End and Year-End close processes, including journal entries and audit preparation.
• Perform account reconciliations and identify discrepancies.
• Analyze financial data to support decision-making.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience with senior-level exposure.
• Strong experience in Accounts Payable and General Ledger management.
• Hands-on experience with Sales Tax preparation.
• Proven experience leading Month-End and Year-End close processes.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups.
• Must be available to work Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM EST.
