What you will do

• Define and evolve reference CI architectures for GitHub Actions across product engineering, including job decomposition/parallelization, caching & artifacts, test partitioning/execution, and multi-platform builds.
• Redesign slow or fragile pipelines with measurable outcomes (e.g., reducing P90 pipeline time and rerun rates).
• Improve CI developer experience by making failures easier to diagnose and fix and by building tooling/abstractions/templates that make best practices the default.
• Drive application-layer performance optimization across build/compilation strategies, dependency management, and toolchain performance; reduce test flakiness with service/app owners.
• Establish observability → action loops by turning CI metrics into architectural changes and prioritizing highest-leverage fixes.
• Co-develop “golden workflows & guardrails” with CI Platform, aligning usability patterns with secure defaults and platform primitives.

Requirements

• Experience designing or evolving CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred).
• Hands-on ability to improve build and test performance (caching strategies, dependency optimization, parallelization, test sharding/partitioning).
• Deep familiarity with multi-platform build/test constraints across macOS, Windows, and Linux.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and systems thinking.
• Practical debugging skills to isolate bottlenecks using logs/metrics and drive fixes across multiple layers.
• Comfort collaborating across teams and codebases; ability to influence without direct ownership.
