What you will do

• Design, develop, and ship high-quality backend services and APIs for AI governance across hirify.global services.
• Lead technical direction for the Enterprise AI Governance team, setting standards for system design, reliability, and operational excellence.
• Architect highly available and secure systems that provide enterprise customers with fine-grained control and visibility over Copilot deployments.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews to help the team produce maintainable and extensible code.
• Collaborate with product, security, and Copilot platform teams to align technical roadmaps with product goals.
• Own system health and quality, including participating in on-call rotations and using telemetry to optimize performance.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• 9+ years of experience in Software Engineering (or a degree in CS/related field with 3-7 years of experience) delivering production software.
• 2+ years of experience in technical leadership roles such as technical lead or team lead.
• Proven proficiency in languages including Go, Ruby, Java, Python, C++, C#, or Rust.
• Experience with large-scale system architecture and distributed systems in cloud-based environments.

Nice to have

• 1+ years experience building agent-based experiences on top of LLMs, including prompt engineering and agentic workflow design.
• Hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, CSS, and HTML.
• Deep experience using general-purpose languages like Go or Ruby.
