What you will do
- Invent and maintain reliable build, test, and packaging tools for a massive monorepo.
- Optimize CI performance and compute efficiency to improve cache hit rates and reduce build times.
- Manage complex migrations and infrastructure changes across the codebase.
- Treat CI pipelines with the same rigor as production systems to ensure reliability.
- Contribute to the open-source Bazel ecosystem by upstreaming fixes and shaping new features.
Requirements
- Must be based in or able to work from Atlanta, Boston, or New York.
- Expertise in Bazel or proficiency in Go, Python, Java, Rust, or TypeScript.
- Experience working with large-scale codebases and complex build systems.
- Strong user-focused mindset to improve developer experience and tool usability.
- Ability to manage risky, high-impact changes that affect engineering velocity.
