Junior Network Engineer

Location: Bucharest, Romania; hybrid work is available after the first three months, with up to 50 days of work from home per year

What you will do

• Manage and maintain enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud-based environments.
• Install, upgrade, license, and maintain network equipment including switches, routers, firewalls, and access points.
• Provide technical support for site-to-site and remote-access VPN solutions using IPsec and SSL.
• Monitor network devices, maintain documentation, manage patching and device lifecycles, and ensure operational tasks meet agreed SLAs.
• Troubleshoot network incidents, perform root cause analysis, and create mitigation plans.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, peers, and vendors to support network operations and project delivery.

Requirements

• At least one year of technical experience with routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Knowledge of routing, switching, and protocols including DHCP, ARP, 802.1Q, OSPF, and BGP.
• Knowledge of configuring and managing IPsec and SSL VPN solutions and firewall devices.
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems and microservices.
• Understanding of ITIL processes; certification is an advantage.
• Fluent English in written and spoken communication, along with strong communication, analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, IT, or another technical field.
• ITIL certification.
