Senior Project Manager Electrical (Data Centers)

What you will do

• Lead the planning, execution, and completion of substation projects, including grid connection, transformers, and switchgear infrastructure.
• Manage the technical interface between utility providers, clients, designers, and construction contractors.
• Oversee the installation and commissioning of HV and MV equipment, including GIS/AIS switchgear and protection systems.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and risk registers to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate energization strategies, outage planning, and safe switching procedures.
• Align power availability with wider data center campus construction milestones.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10+ years’ experience delivering electrical infrastructure or substation projects.
• Strong technical understanding of high-voltage systems, protection, and earthing.
• Proven experience working with utility providers and managing grid connection processes.
• Experience in data center, industrial power, or utility infrastructure project environments.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as PMP or equivalent.
• Familiarity with construction contracts such as FIDIC, NEC, or similar.
