Senior Management Liability Underwriter, Financial Lines

Location: Sydney, Australia; primarily office-based

What you will do

• Underwrite new and renewal management liability business in line with underwriting guidelines, delegated authority, and hirify.global principles.
• Support the growth and profitability of the Commercial Segment and Financial Lines portfolio.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective producing brokers.
• Lead complex underwriting projects, including broker tenders, and deliver professional broker presentations.
• Maintain accurate files, registers, and records for management reporting and timely policy issuance.
• Contribute to portfolio decisions, actuarial reviews, and strategy development while mentoring colleagues.

Requirements

• Proven sales skills and a strong understanding of the brokerage market.
• Experience managing and developing broker relationships.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
• Experience in financial lines underwriting.
• Insurance qualifications such as ANZIIF Senior Associate or equivalent are highly regarded.
