Project Surveyor (Civil Engineering)

Location: On-site in Poughkeepsie, NY or Rochester, NY

Salary: $45 - $55/hr

Professional services firm providing land surveying, civil engineering, architectural, and environmental project support.

What you will do

• Manage and perform topographic, boundary, and ALTA/ASCM land title surveys.
• Execute construction staking, terrestrial LiDAR, and UAV/drone surveying.
• Oversee project schedules, financials, and client relationship management.
• Mentor, supervise, and manage project staff.
• Represent the survey group on multidisciplinary project teams.
• Perform advanced data analysis and QA/QC of survey deliverables.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position of responsibility.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in New York (Poughkeepsie/Rochester).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D and advanced GPS post-processing software.
• Knowledge of terrestrial LiDAR and UAV/drone surveying techniques.
• Ability to pursue professional licensure in Land Surveying.
• Current driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles.

Nice to have

• AAS or BS in land surveying or a related field.
• Experience with Microstation Open Roads and/or Trimble Business Center.
