Salary: $87,000 – $113,000 per year

What you will do

• Underwrite and process renewal policies by applying knowledge of coverage forms and rating plans.
• Collaborate with agents and internal teams to grow and maintain a profitable book of business.
• Communicate underwriting decisions and appetite effectively to internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor premium retention and conduct profit and growth analysis by territory.
• Coach and mentor less experienced underwriters and provide product expertise.
• Conduct agency visits and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to travel for agency visits.
• 3-5 years of commercial underwriting experience preferred.
• Highly proficient communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage workflows effectively.
• College degree preferred.
• Professional designations such as INS, AU, CIC, or CPCU strongly preferred.
