What you will do

• Evaluate and price workers compensation insurance applications based on established underwriting guidelines.
• Determine coverage levels and appropriate pricing to ensure safe and profitable risk distribution.
• Analyze risk characteristics for new applications, renewals, and change requests.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with producers to achieve production goals.
• Collaborate with the underwriting team to finalize applications and share market intelligence.
• Document underwriting files with detailed risk analysis and pricing justifications.

Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Minimum 5 years of Workers Compensation underwriting or related insurance experience
• Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years of equivalent professional experience
• Experience underwriting risk for construction, hospitality, real estate, or manufacturing classes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn industry-specific software
• Strong customer service and collaborative skills

Nice to have

• CPCU, CIC, or CRIS professional designations
• Property & Casualty Brokers License
