What you will do

• Take end-to-end ownership of designing, building, and delivering high-performance systems and data products.
• Tackle petabyte-scale data challenges and large-scale, low-latency distributed systems.
• Work on high-throughput data ingestion, processing pipelines, and real-time services.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product partners to deliver exceptional solutions.
• Drive technical direction, mentor team members, and advocate for defensible engineering solutions.
• Profile and analyze complex systems to identify bottlenecks and improve resource utilization.

Requirements

• Must be based in Shanghai
• Sustained track record of significant, self-directed contributions to large-scale engineering projects.
• Experience building large-scale, distributed, or data-intensive systems.
• Proficiency with platforms and technologies such as C++, .NET Core, Rust, Spark, Kafka, or Kubernetes.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and ability to work from first principles.
• Impact-focused mindset with a collaborative, ego-free approach to leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience with GPU or high-performance computing (HPC).
• Background in ML model serving and inference optimization.
• Knowledge of GPU profiling and performance analysis.
• Experience with kernel- and operator-level optimization.
