What you will do

  • Own the long-term technical vision and architecture for the Catalog Platform.
  • Design and build highly scalable distributed systems processing millions of products and inventory updates.
  • Define platform standards, data models, and APIs to enable rapid product development.
  • Partner with Product, Data Science, and Engineering leadership to translate business strategy into technical execution.
  • Mentor senior and staff-level engineers through design reviews and architecture discussions.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and AI-driven approaches to improve platform resilience and performance.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience building large-scale distributed systems.
  • Deep expertise in backend architecture, data-intensive systems, and platform engineering.
  • Proven track record designing systems that operate at high scale with strong reliability requirements.
  • Strong experience with cloud infrastructure and modern distributed architectures.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Must be based in Santiago, Chile.
