TL;DR
Node.js Developer (Digital Marketing) (AdTech/Node.js): Building and operating high-throughput, low-latency backend services for a supply-side advertising platform processing hundreds of billions of real-time ad requests per day with an accent on distributed systems, streaming pipelines, caching, and performance. Focus on integrating DSPs and SSPs, resolving production bottlenecks, and designing observability, testing, and on-call practices for large-scale systems.
Location: Mexico; remote and hybrid work options are available.

is delivering software engineering services for a global marketing technology company whose platform supports cross-channel programmatic media planning and activation using real-time research, audience data, analytics, and integrations with major advertising partners.
What you will do
- Own complex backend initiatives from design and implementation through integration, rollout, and production operation.
- Build high-throughput, low-latency services for systems processing billions of transactions and real-time ad requests.
- Integrate with DSPs, SSPs, third-party data providers, and AdTech standards including OpenRTB and VAST.
- Develop distributed systems, streaming pipelines, caching, and in-memory data solutions using Redis, Kafka, and Aerospike.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and improve observability, testing, automation, capacity planning, and incident response.
- Collaborate with product, operations, and engineering teams while contributing to code reviews, mentorship, roadmap planning, and architecture.
Requirements
- 5+ years of expert-level backend development experience with JavaScript and Node.js at scale.
- Strong knowledge of distributed systems, scalability, fault tolerance, caching, load balancing, data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
- Hands-on experience with Redis, Aerospike, Kafka or Kinesis, SQL/RDBMS, Linux, networking, and Git.
- Experience with automated acceptance testing, load testing, monitoring, code review, and engineering mentorship.
- Willingness to participate in rotating pager duty and on-call support for production issues.
- English: Upper-Intermediate or higher.
