What you will do

• Lead and deliver large-scale travel platform components including flight/hotel search, pricing, availability aggregation, and booking flows.
• Design and implement scalable distributed systems and clean APIs for client applications.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, and UX teams to enhance the hirify.global Travel experience.
• Integrate with external partners such as OTAs, GDS, and suppliers to improve system reliability.
• Drive engineering best practices and mentor other engineers.
• Analyze complex requirements and propose pragmatic technical solutions.

Requirements

• Location: Must be able to work on-site in Shenzhen, China
• 7+ years experience building consumer-facing or distributed backend systems.
• Strong travel or OTA experience with knowledge of flight, hotel, or activity marketplaces and GDS integrations.
• Proficiency with Node.js and cloud deployment (AWS preferred).
• Strong understanding of API design, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams and partners.
• Experience using Generative AI tools to improve workflows and productivity.

Nice to have

• Experience with flight or hotel domain specifics such as fare rules, inventory, ranking, caching, and booking orchestration.
