What you will do

• Maintain, enhance, and support the Place and Route (PNR) flow using industry-standard EDA tools.
• Perform synthesis, place and route, and timing analysis and closure on multiple complex logic blocks.
• Develop and implement timing and logic ECOs in collaboration with the RTL design team to address congestion and timing issues.
• Debug and resolve block-level timing issues at the partition level with the global timing team.
• Develop scripts to automate design processes and improve overall workflow efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in physical design focusing on block-level PNR for advanced CMOS nodes (7nm, 5nm, or below).
• Proficiency with Cadence Genus and Innovus, and Synopsys IC Compiler and Fusion Compiler.
• Expertise in static timing analysis (Tempus, PrimeTime) and EM/IR-Drop/Crosstalk analysis (Voltus, PrimeRail).
• Ability to create scripts using Tcl, Perl, and Makefile.
• Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. export control laws (EAR).

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of physical and formal verification tools such as Calibre, LEC, and Formality.
