What you will do

• Investigate complex construction defect claims through correspondence and personal contact with involved parties.
• Analyze coverage, determine liability, and assess loss extent, including potential exposure to the insured.
• Negotiate and settle both non-litigated and litigated claims within delegated authority.
• Handle litigation files from start to finish, ensuring accurate status updates and negligence calculations.
• Prepare coverage position letters and coordinate with internal teams and outside counsel.
• Approve investigation expenses and manage check requisitions for loss and expense payments.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States
• 5+ years of experience handling construction defect claims involving complex coverage analysis.
• 7-10 years of total claims experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret policy forms, endorsements, and contractual obligations.
• Proficiency in managing litigated files from start to finish.
• Ability to author coverage position letters and recognize complex coverage issues.
